Most free trade agreements can be supported by a certificate certifying the original status of the imported product. This certificate shall be referred to as a certificate of origin. The PDF file provided on this page is a template to fill out that shows how such a certification of origin can be structured and which users can use it. However, its use or compliance with its structure is in no way mandatory. However, in accordance with the relevant rules, all data elements specified therein must continue to be made available to CBP upon request as part of a claim for preferential tariff treatment. Country of Origin: Prints the country of origin you request by accessing Product Information Management > Configuring Product Compliance > > Country of Origin (see also Country of Origin). The ISO code of the country of origin is printed in the delivery address of the shipment and the item according to the country of destination / region. If no country of origin data has been configured, this value is reset to the parameter under Product released > foreign trade > origin. If no country of origin data is yet found, you must manually enter the country of origin after generating the document. The USMCA Certificate of Origin contains the minimum data elements required for the declaration. Some data elements can be pre-filled before printing, while others need to be filled in manually after printing. To qualify for preferential tariff treatment, the document must be completed and in the possession of the importer at the time the declaration is filed. The document can be completed by the importer, exporter or manufacturer.
